Meet Chef Shannon Woodruff
Welcome! I'm Shannon Woodruff, Chef and Founder of The Green Kitchen.
I'm proud to be a third-generation Arizona entrepreneur. My great-grandmother ran a beauty salon in Sunnyslope more than 70 years ago, and my great-aunt was not only Miss Arizona but also a personal chef to Phoenix Suns owner Jerry Colangelo. Food, creativity, and entrepreneurship have always run in my family — and I'm honored to carry that legacy forward in a new way.
My own culinary journey began at 17, when I realized food could be both healing and transformative. After years of experimenting in the kitchen — and healing my body from Epstein-Barr Virus and heavy metal toxicity — I experienced firsthand how powerful real, whole foods can be.
That transformation became my mission. Today, The Green Kitchen serves hundreds of families, athletes, and professionals across Arizona with nutrient-dense meals that are always free from gluten, dairy, sugar, and seed oils.
I believe food is medicine. Meals should be joyful, intentional, and rooted in love. And when prepared with care, food has the power to transform not just your body, but your entire life.
My mission
To create food that heals and connects — nourishing the body while sparking joy, memory, and togetherness. I believe that the right meal can shift your entire day: grounding you, energizing you, and reminding you that you deserve to feel good. Every dish is an invitation to slow down, savor what’s on your plate, and reconnect with the people and moments that matter most. When we heal through food, we reconnect with ourselves — and life begins to taste better in every way.

My commitment is simple: to serve only the most nourishing foods prepared with intention and care. Every meal from my kitchen features organic ingredients, anti-inflammatory nutrition, and the kind of wholesome goodness that makes food both medicine and joy.
I believe food is medicine, community is healing, and together they create something magical. Welcome to The Green Kitchen family — I'm so glad you're here.
